Continue south through wide valleys and rocky landscapes, passing small villages that reflect daily life in rural Morocco. As you approach Midelt, the terrain becomes more open, with views of the surrounding mountains.

After lunch, the journey continues through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and scenic viewpoints. By late afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert.

Here, you begin your camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, the colors of the sand shift across the landscape. Arrive at your desert camp, enjoy dinner, traditional music, and spend the night under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga to Dades Valley – Desert Sunrise to Rocky Landscapes

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a quiet and memorable moment in the Sahara. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or 4×4 to the village.

Begin your journey west, passing through small desert towns and open landscapes. Stop in Todra Gorge, where tall cliffs create a narrow canyon perfect for a short walk and photos.

Continue toward Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and winding roads. The valley offers a contrast of dry mountains and green patches of vegetation.

Arrive in the evening and check into your hotel. The area is calm and scenic, making it a good place to rest after a full day of travel.
