Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen – Coastal Energy to Mountain Calm

Your journey begins in Tangier, a city shaped by its unique position between Europe and Africa. After meeting your driver, leave the coastal atmosphere behind and head toward the Rif Mountains.

As the road climbs gently into the hills, the scenery shifts into green landscapes, dotted with small villages and open views. The drive is smooth yet scenic, offering glimpses into rural northern Morocco.

By early afternoon, you arrive in Chefchaouen. The town immediately stands out with its blue-painted streets and relaxed pace. After checking into your riad, spend the afternoon wandering through the medina, exploring narrow alleys, quiet squares, and local shops.

As evening falls, the town becomes even more peaceful. Enjoy a calm night surrounded by the mountains before continuing your journey.

Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fes – Blue City to Cultural Capital

After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel toward Fes. The road passes through rolling hills and agricultural landscapes, offering a gradual transition from mountain scenery to the plains.

Arrive in Fes around midday and begin your half-day guided tour. Enter the medina, where narrow streets form a complex network filled with markets, workshops, and historic buildings. Visit important sites such as Al Quaraouiyine University and explore traditional areas known for crafts and trade.

The experience is immersive, offering a deeper understanding of Moroccan culture and daily life. After the visit, transfer to your riad and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Day 3: Fes to Merzouga – Crossing into the Sahara

Depart early from Fes and begin one of the most scenic drives of the journey. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, starting with a stop in Ifrane.

Continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where wildlife can often be seen. As you move south, the landscape gradually opens into wide valleys and rocky terrain.

Pass through Midelt and follow the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and scenic viewpoints. By late afternoon, you reach Merzouga.

Here, begin your camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The light changes as the sun sets, creating a calm and memorable atmosphere.

Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Valley – Desert Sunrise to Mountain Valleys

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, a quiet and memorable moment. After breakfast, return to the village and continue your journey west.

The drive passes through open desert landscapes and small towns before reaching Todra Gorge. Here, take time to walk through the canyon, where steep rock walls rise on both sides.
