Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley – Mountains, Kasbahs & Scenic Roads

Your journey begins in Marrakech, where you leave the bustling city behind and travel toward the High Atlas Mountains. The road climbs gradually through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views, mountain villages, and dramatic landscapes.

Continue toward Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous historic villages. Explore the ancient architecture and enjoy the atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site before continuing to Ouarzazate.

The route then passes through the Valley of Roses and reaches Dades Valley. Known for its winding roads and unique rock formations, the valley offers a peaceful setting surrounded by mountains.

Check into your hotel in the evening. Dinner and breakfast are included. Overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga – Into the Sahara Desert

After breakfast, continue your journey toward the Sahara. The road leads through small villages and desert landscapes before arriving at Todra Gorge.

Take time to walk through the canyon, where steep cliffs rise dramatically on both sides. Continue south through changing landscapes until you reach Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara.

In the late afternoon, begin your camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun slowly sets over the sand, the desert transforms into a peaceful and unforgettable landscape.

Arrive at your desert camp where dinner will be served. Spend the night in the Sahara under a sky full of stars. Breakfast is included the next morning.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Second Night in Sahara

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most memorable moments of the journey. After breakfast, return to the village by camel or 4×4.

This day is dedicated to exploring the surroundings of Merzouga. Discover nearby villages, rocky desert landscapes, palm groves, and peaceful dune areas. The slower pace allows you to fully appreciate the atmosphere of the Sahara beyond a simple overnight stay.

You may enjoy time relaxing near the dunes, walking through the sand, or experiencing local desert life.

Day 4: Merzouga to Fes – Valleys, Forests & Middle Atlas Mountains

After breakfast, leave the desert behind and begin your journey north toward Fes.

Travel through the scenic Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic viewpoints. Continue through Midelt before entering the forests and mountains of the Middle Atlas region.

Stop near Azrou, where monkeys are often seen among the cedar trees. Continue to Ifrane, known for its clean streets and alpine-style architecture.

Arrive in Fes in the evening, marking the end of your 4-day desert journey.
