Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 01
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca — City Tour
On arrival in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and its main economic hub, visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, with a minaret rising over 200 meters and a section of the prayer hall floor that opens to reveal the Atlantic Ocean below. Completed in 1993, it remains one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors, and the guided tour offers a close look at its vast hand-carved details, marble flooring, and titanium doors.
Explore the corniche, Casablanca’s seafront promenade, or the smaller old medina near the port before settling in for the night.

DAY 02
Day 2: Casablanca to Chefchaouen — via Rabat
Drive to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital, for a guided visit including the Kasbah of the Udayas, a fortified old town overlooking the Atlantic with narrow blue-and-white streets, and the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret intended to be the tallest in the world.
Continue north into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous blue city, arriving as the late afternoon light brings out the full range of blue tones across the old town’s walls and stairways.

DAY 03
Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes — Guided City Tour
Spend the morning exploring Chefchaouen’s blue-washed streets and squares at a relaxed pace — Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the tanneries and wool workshops, and the Spanish Mosque on the hillside above town, reached by a short walk with panoramic views over the blue rooftops below.
In the afternoon, drive south to Fes, arriving in time to head straight into Fes el Bali with a local guide, one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. Highlights include the Bou Inania Madrasa, an exceptional example of Marinid-era craftsmanship, and the historic Chouara Tannery, where leather has been dyed by hand for centuries.

DAY 04
Day 4: Fes to Merzouga — via the Middle Atlas & Ziz Valley
Drive into the Middle Atlas Mountains through Ifrane and Midelt, then descend through the Ziz Valley, where the road follows a long ribbon of palm groves and traditional villages along the Ziz River, toward Merzouga.
In the late afternoon, ride by camel into the dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets, arriving at your desert camp for mint tea, a traditional dinner, and an evening of Berber music around the fire beneath a sky full of stars.

DAY 05
Day 5: A Full Day in the Sahara Desert
Rather than moving on after a single night, this itinerary builds in a full day to settle into the rhythm of the dunes. After a relaxed breakfast at camp, head out by 4×4 to visit a semi-nomadic Berber family living at the desert’s edge, and learn how daily life is shaped around water and the seasons in one of Morocco’s most extreme landscapes.
Spend the warmest hours of the afternoon back at camp — resting in the shade, trying your hand at sandboarding on the nearby dunes, or simply taking in the silence that makes the Sahara so different from anywhere else on this trip.
As the light turns golden in the late afternoon, climb a dune for a second sunset over Erg Chebbi before returning to camp for another Berber dinner and an evening of music around the fire, under the same exceptionally clear sky for stargazing.
DAY 06
Day 6: Merzouga to Dades Valley — via the Todra Gorges
After a final morning in the desert, head to the Todra Gorges, a dramatic limestone canyon with cliffs rising over 300 meters, popular with rock climbers from around the world, then continuing to the Dades Valley, known for its terraced fields and unusual wind-carved rock formations.

DAY 07
Day 7: Dades Valley to Marrakech — via Ouarzazate & Ait Ben Haddou
Drive through Ouarzazate and stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified UNESCO World Heritage kasbah built almost entirely from rammed earth, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass to Marrakech, arriving by evening with time to settle in before dinner.

DAY 08
Day 8: Marrakech — City Tour & Departure
Spend the morning exploring Marrakech, including the souks and the Bahia Palace, celebrated for its ornate courtyards and painted ceilings, before your private tour comes to an end and you are transferred to Marrakech airport for your departing flight.
